Food Assistance Program USDA provides temporary food assistance to eligible low-income families and individuals.
Eligibility is based on the financial situation of all members in the household.
Everyone who lives together, buys and cooks food is considered a member of the same household group.
In general, we'll look at expenses, activities, and revenue to determine which, if any, benefits you might be eligible for. Application processYou must fill in and submit an application to determine if you are able to receive assistance with assistance such as food, Medicaid, child care, temporary money, an emergency, etc., through MDHHS.
When you apply, you may need to provide information about all members of your household.
The best way to determine eligibility and submit an application is to use MI Bridges online. Applications can be delivered in person, sent by post or fax to their local office.
Customers receive a Michigan Bridge Card to purchase certain food products and access cash benefits at various retailers and ATMs throughout the state.
